What are RefinedByJV button covers made of?
The base of each piece - and select full designs - is crafted from brass, an intentional choice long used in fine jewelry and luxury accessories. Brass offers a satisfying weight, maintains its shape over time, and resists bending or warping with regular wear. It reflects light beautifully and will not snag or damage garments.
Depending on the design, additional elements may include high-quality resin, acrylic, or enamel detailing, as well as carefully selected decorative finishes such as pearls or stones. Each material is chosen to balance durability with a refined, elevated aesthetic.

What sizes of buttons do your button covers fit?
Our 17 mm button covers are designed to fit most standard shirt buttons, typically ranging from approximately 10 mm to 12 mm in diameter. This makes them ideal for classic shirts and blouses.
Some designs may also be available in a smaller 15 mm diameter, which are best suited for shirt buttons up to approximately 9–10 mm in size.
For the most accurate fit, each product page includes the exact button cover diameter - we recommend checking the description before purchasing.
Do these button covers fit blazers and coats?
Our button covers are designed for standard shirt and blouse buttons. Most blazer and coat buttons are larger and thicker, which makes them incompatible with our current designs.
For the best fit and look, we recommend styling them on shirts and lighter garments with standard-sized buttons.
Will they damage my shirts?
No. Our button covers are designed to be gentle on fabrics. The inner mechanism is smooth and carefully constructed to avoid pulling, snagging, or leaving marks on your garments.
