This Shipping Policy describes how RefinedByJV processes, ships, and delivers orders placed through www.refinedbyjv.com. By placing an order, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

 

We ship from BC, Canada, and currently deliver to addresses within Canada and the United States. All orders are subject to our order processing time before dispatch.

All orders require 1 to 3 business days to process before they are handed to a carrier for dispatch. Processing time includes order verification, quality inspection, and packaging.

 

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding Canadian statutory holidays. Orders placed on weekends or statutory holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

 

Please note: Processing time is separate from and in addition to the estimated delivery time. Your total wait time from order to delivery is the processing time plus the applicable shipping time.

 

During periods of high order volume — such as holidays, sales events, or new product launches — processing times may be extended. We will communicate any significant delays on the Site or by email.

We currently ship to all provinces and territories within Canada, and to the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.

 

We do not currently ship internationally outside of Canada and the United States. If you are located outside of these regions and wish to place an order, please contact us at hello@refinedbyjv.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request where possible.

We offer both Standard and Express shipping options for all eligible orders. The following estimated delivery times begin from the date your order is dispatched (i.e., after the processing period described in Section 2).

 

4.1 Canada

Delivery times within Canada may vary depending on your province or territory. Remote or rural addresses may experience longer delivery times than those shown above.

Delivery times to the United States are estimates and may vary depending on US Customs processing times, carrier capacity, and your delivery address. Express shipping does not guarantee delivery by a specific time of day.

Shipping costs are calculated based on your delivery address, selected shipping method, and order weight/dimensions. The exact shipping cost for your order will be displayed at checkout before you confirm your purchase.

 

All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable, except in the case of a defective, damaged, or incorrectly sent item (see our Return, Exchange & Refund Policy).

RefinedByJV ships via a selection of trusted carriers including Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, Purolator, and other carriers as available. The carrier assigned to your order will be selected based on your location, the shipping method chosen, and carrier availability at the time of dispatch.

 

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to track your order. Tracking information may take up to 24 hours to become active after your order is picked up by the carrier.

Orders shipped to the United States are considered international shipments and may be subject to US customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, and other charges imposed by US Customs and Border Protection upon entry into the United States.

 

These charges are entirely the responsibility of the customer. RefinedByJV does not collect, pre-pay, or reimburse any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees. These are separate from and in addition to the shipping cost paid at checkout.

 

Customs charges are typically assessed on orders exceeding USD $800 in value, though the threshold and applicable fees are determined solely by US Customs and Border Protection and are subject to change. We recommend contacting US Customs or your local customs office if you have questions about applicable fees before placing your order.

 

Please note that customs processing may cause delays beyond our estimated delivery times. RefinedByJV has no control over customs clearance processes and is not responsible for delays caused by customs.

 

Important: If a package is refused or abandoned due to non-payment of customs duties, it may be returned to us or destroyed by customs authorities. In such cases, we are unable to issue a refund for the order or the original shipping cost.

Orders shipped within Canada are subject to applicable federal and provincial sales taxes (GST, HST, and/or PST) based on your delivery address. These taxes will be calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm your purchase.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number. You can use this number to track your package directly on the carrier's website or through any parcel tracking service.

 

If you have not received a shipping confirmation email within 5 business days of placing your order, please check your spam or junk mail folder first. If you still cannot locate it, contact us at hello@refinedbyjv.com with your order number and we will investigate promptly.

10.1 Lost Packages

If your tracking information shows that your package has been delivered but you have not received it, please first check with neighbours, building management, or any safe-drop location near your address.

 

If the package cannot be located, contact us at hello@refinedbyjv.com within 5 business days of the marked delivery date. We will open an investigation with the carrier on your behalf. Please note that carrier investigations can take 5 to 10 business days to complete.

 

RefinedByJV is not liable for packages confirmed as delivered by the carrier to the address provided at checkout. It is your responsibility to ensure that your shipping address is correct and that someone is available to receive the package or that a safe-drop location is available.

10.2 Incorrect Address

If you have provided an incorrect or incomplete shipping address at checkout, please contact us immediately at hello@refinedbyjv.com. We will do our best to update your address before dispatch, but we cannot guarantee that changes can be made once an order has been processed.

 

RefinedByJV is not responsible for orders that are delayed, lost, or undeliverable due to an incorrect address provided by the customer. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, we will contact you and re-ship at your expense.

10.3 Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives damaged in transit, please contact us at hello@refinedbyjv.com within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the damaged packaging and item. We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

10.4 Delays

Estimated delivery times are provided by our carriers and are not guaranteed. RefinedByJV is not responsible for delays caused by carrier capacity, weather events, customs processing, statutory holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control.

 

If your order appears significantly delayed beyond the estimated delivery window, please contact us and we will investigate with the carrier on your behalf.

Title and risk of loss for any products purchased from RefinedByJV pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. Once your order has been handed to the carrier and a tracking number has been issued, RefinedByJV's responsibility for the physical condition and location of the package transfers accordingly.

We reserve the right to update or modify this Shipping Policy at any time, including shipping rates, timelines, carriers, and destinations. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in effect at the time your order is placed will govern that order.
